Lean-Belly Strategy #2

Slow Down
Fast eaters become fat people. If you consciously stop to take a breath between bites, you can cut your food (and calorie) intake by 10 percent, according to researchers at the University of Rhode Island. Special bonus: You can do this in social situations—Thanksgiving dinner at Aunt Marge's—and nobody will even notice. That is, until you show up next year minus 20 pounds of flab.

 it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to signal to your brain that you're full.
if you scoff your food down like there's no tomorrow, you
would be consuming a lot more calories that what you need to be satisfied.
try it even for one meal. slow down, enjoy your food, chew it properly
and take your time while eating.  you might notice some leftovers on your plate

Which of the following ingredients is a sign that a food
product is made with 100% whole wheat?

    * Wheat flour
    * Multigrain
    * Unbleached wheat flour
    * Enriched wheat flour
    * Stone ground wheat flour
    * All of the above
    * None of the above <<<<<

To make sure you are getting 100% whole wheat bread, look at the ingredients list—not the front of the package. "Whole wheat flour" or "100% whole wheat flour" should be the first ingredient and the only flour listed. Don't fall for deceitful terms such as "wheat flour," "unbleached wheat flour," "multigrain," "enriched," or "stone-ground wheat flour." These are just sneaky ways of saying refined white flour.

^ my fave bread, available from Woolies and Coles
 never fails to keep me full for a few
hours... and that's just one slice

Happy Thursday!!!
